Indien ist ein Land voller Pragmatismus in einer Form, wie es in Deutschland nicht vorstellbar wäre.
Dieses Schild einer kleinen eatery, ist natürlich mit Humor entstanden und kein ernsthafter Angriff auf den Colonel (Grüße an Tüvi). Heute war ich mit Jonathan auf einem Spaziergang durch die Stadt. Da hat er den Schriftzug 'Kwality' entdeckt. In vielen Fällen passieren aber Sachen, die für einen Deutschen sehr komisch sind. Zum Beispiel der Bauhelm als Ersatz für den Motorradhelm.
Wenn in einem Restaurant eine Papiertischdecke ausgebreitet wird, ist das gut. Und schön bunt ist sie auch. Als ich nochmal hinsehe, fällt mir auf, dass es ein Fehldruck einer Verpackung für ein Danone Produkt ist. Der Tisch nebenan hatte Geschenkpapier mit Weihnachtsmotiven.

What strikes me a lot in India is the fact that people come up with quite unusual ideas. Funny English names that are misspelled are very entertaining. Although the sign below is more of a conscious thing.
But here exists a certain pragmatism. People solve problems in an easy and quick way. That is quite different from German perfectionism. But they are successful in solving the problem.
How to protect your table from getting all messy? Use a paper cover. But why would you go and produce special stuff if you can get colored misprints or gift wrapping with nice christmas decoration?
