Tusker

Wildlife Adventure in Ooty. Das ist eine hügelige Region, die ziemlich zentral in Südindien liegt. Dort gibt es Wildnis und Dschungel. Auf unserer Fahrt durch diesen Nationalpark sehen wir viele Tiere. Meistens sind es Hirsche und anderes Wild. Aber nach einer Kurve sehen wir mehrere Fahrzeuge auf der Straße. Dort wohin alle schauen, steht im Dickicht ein Elefant und pflückt sich gemütlich sein Frühstück. Der Moment ist sehr ruhig und irgendwie freidlich. Das Handy hat leider keine so gute Fernsicht für ein besseres Foto.

A tusker right next to the road. That was more than we could have wished for when we set out on a drive through the South-Indian Nationalpark that is formed across three states. We came across a lot of deers. We saw wild peacocks everywhere. But the sight of this huge tusker, announced by many parked cars on the road was a special moment. He stood there completely unimpressed by all the excited people and plucked his breakfast. Unfortunately the mobile camera could not capture a better pic of this sight.
