Als wir am Sankey Tank waren, ist uns ein älterer Mann aufgefallen, der ziemlich lumpig gekleidet war. Er führte eine Kuh mit sich durch die Straße, die in bunte Tücher gewickelt war. Er kam zu den Leuten und manche gaben ihm Geld. An einigen Häusern hielt er an und spielte auf einer Art Flöte ziemlich grauslige Musik, ebenfalls solange bis er etwas Geld bekam.
Diese Tradition ist nicht mehr ganz so verbreitet, aber kommt vor. Die Kuh ist ein heiliges Tier, aber dieses Exemplar ist eine besonders heilige Kuh. Man kann ihr Fragen stellen. Wenn sie den Kopf schüttelt, dann bedeutet das "Ja". Einige dieser Vagabunden trainieren ihre Kühe mit dem Kopf zu wackeln. Denn je mehr Jas, desto besser sind die Einkünfte.

This cow is even more holy than the other cows that roam the streets. It can answer your questions. At least if it's a simple yes or no question, that is. You pay a small money to the man who guides the cow through the streets. He is standing behind the head of the cow, and is looking a little ragged.
He distinctly asks you for money, even if you don't want any questions answered. Sometimes he stops by some houses and plays an intriguing tune on a flute-like instrument. He will eventually stop if you give him some money, for which in turn you might receive good blessings from the cow. Even though the cow might just be trained to waggle its head.
